ISA Recognized with Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award

The Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) new water testing lab is an example of the pioneering work that recently earned ISA’s Environmental Programs and Services (EPS) the Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award.

In August, Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds personally honored the EPS team with the award, which represents the premier environmental honor in Iowa.

“Iowa is blessed to have some of the best natural resources in the world and we want to see them maintained for future generations,” said Gov. Branstad. “The goal is to protect and enhance our environment and pass it to future generations better than we found it. We recognize leadership and innovation in protecting our natural resources.”

EPS Advisory Council Chair Jim Andrew and EPS Director Roger Wolf accepted the award for the EPS staff and the ISA board of directors.

Andrew noted, “This award validates that ISA has assumed a critical leadership role in seeking practical, science-based solutions to Iowa’s environmental challenges. We will continue in this quest.”
